Is having a more engaged, interactive class of interest to you? If it is, then this presentation might be just for you. This presentation will investigate how the use of clickers and video lecture capture technology assisted me in transforming my general, college, and organic chemistry courses(Chemistry 101, 111, 112, 241, and 242) into a more energized, engaged, and interactive learning environment. There is a synergistic effect between the use of clickers and video lecture capture technology that teachers can capitalize on. By requiring students to study video lecture captures prior to class, students will be better prepared and ready to actively participate in class. In addition, by having questions prepared and loaded into the clicker software prior to class, teachers have a method for students to participate in class anonymously. This presentation will review how teachers can video lecture capture their lectures, use clicker software, and create a more interactive learning environment. These two technologies can be adapted by all teachers in any discipline.
