Everything starts with an idea. You go to a conference and get a bunch of ideas, but how do you implement them when you get home? Follow my seven year journey to starting a research group at a two-year college. Along the way were some interesting challenges, simple solutions, and gradually increasing support from administration. Focus your ideas and make them reality. If you know these tips it shouldn’t take you seven years!

Providing additional help to students outside of the classroom is a high priority for many institutions. After a process is in place to help students the next request is to prove that the investment is paying off in student success. This talk will share the systems in place to gather data of student use, student satisfaction, and employee satisfaction with the RCTC Comprehensive Learning Center. Results from the data gathering and future growth areas will be presented.
