P804: How to fit it in: Strategies to efficiently incorporate student-centered learning into a high school classroom [WITHDRAWN]
As instructors we want to do what is best for our students, filling our toolbox with several strategies to help them grow in their understanding of chemistry while learning how to be thinkers and problem solvers. The problem is never a lack of “tools”; the problem is lack of time. This presentation will walk through a “typical” day in an efficient “POGIL + FLIPPED” high school classroom and will share how students are reacting and benefiting from this mixed model. There will be several strategies discussed that will help you incorporate student-centered learning activities and labs into short high school class periods.
