The Chemistry Collaborations, Workshops, and Communities of Scholars program (cCWCS, www.ccwcs.org) provides funding and a series of tools that enhance the dissemination activities of evidence-based reform projects in chemical education. The program supports week-long hands-on faculty workshops and shorter miniworkshops. Additional assistance is provided in the form of advertising to college instructors across the nation, collection of applications, a template for development of community websites, and evaluation. The program has organized over 200 workshops, ranging from “Chemistry in Art” to “Computational Chemistry,” and “Creating Case Studies for General Chemistry” to “Nuclear Magnetic Resonance.” The program is particularly interested in assisting NSF grantees and others who have developed evidence based reformed curricula and pedagogies on their own campus.
